Processing begins after an order is placed and payment is received. Most orders of in-stock products are processed and packaged within 24 to 48 hours. Special orders are likely to have a longer lead time of 3 to 6 business days. Special orders include all courts, floor graphics, logos, and large orders of vinyl and carpet. Orders will be shipped via FedEx Ground, USPS or one of our LTL freight carriers depending on the weight of the product. The shipping transit times provided during check out does not include the processing time.
All shipping offers apply only to the Continental United States. Additional fees will apply for orders going to Hawaii or Alaska. We do not ship to Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, or any other US territory that is not part of the Continental USA. Canada and Mexico are also excluded.
If you wish to purchase a product and reside outside of the Continental USA, special arrangements are required. Customers residing outside of the USA may contact their own logistic company to make necessary arrangements. Many Canadian customers arrange for the product to be delivered to border towns and then travel there to pick up the product. ModuTile reserves the right to cancel any order for any reason.
Once an order has been placed, confirmation of the details is sent to the email address provided on the invoice. Please review your invoice and contact us before it ships if there are any errors. The shipping department will choose a carrier based off of the lowest shipping quote. If a customer pays for expedited shipping, ModuTile will choose the carrier with the fastest transit time. After the order has been processed, packaged, and shipped, we send a second e-mail providing the name of the carrier and the tracking number, also known as a PRO number.
- FedEx Ground
A shipment traveling with FedEx Ground usually takes 3 to 6 business days. FedEx Ground does not schedule appointments for delivery and will drop the shipments off at the customer’s designated location whether or not a recipient is present. Ground service delivery does not require a signature; however, in some situations, the ModuTile shipping department may require a signature. A signature may be required if a package is shipped to an uncertain or busy location (apartments, condos, etc.). If you do not want to be home to sign for it, you may call FedEx to hold the package at the location for you to pick up. However, you must communicate with the carrier before the 3rd delivery attempt.
Customers are responsible for tracking their package and contacting the carrier with delivery instructions. The customer is responsible for origination and return fees; if the product is rejected by the buyer or fails to make appropriate arrangement to sign for the package, and or fails to pick up from the terminal.
If a customer prefers their order to ship with Direct Signature, it will be necessary to call to specify Direct Signature and pay a minimal fee per package. Please contact our Customer Service department with any questions.
- LTL Freight Carriers
Large or heavy orders will ship with a common LTL freight carrier. The estimated transit time for standard free shipping is 6 to 14 business days. Once the order arrives at the destination terminal, the freight company will call to schedule a day and time for delivery. We suggest that all customers with a scheduled delivery time contact the freight company on the day of the appointment to verify that their order will arrive during the allotted scheduled time. For residential customers, shipments are delivered curbside with a liftgate.
If delivering to a commercial building and an appointment is not needed, the LTL freight carrier will deliver the shipment curbside to the location listed in the shipping address any time between 8:00 AM Monday and 5:00 PM Friday. LTL freight carriers require an authorized signature from the recipient to release the shipment.
NOTE: If the customer does not call the LTL carrier to schedule an appointment, the customer will be responsible for any detention fees incurred. Also, the customer is responsible for the re-delivery cost if he or she misses the first appointment or declines to accept it at the time of delivery. If ModuTile is unable to reach the customer, we will ship the product back to our warehouse at the expense of the customer.
Occasionally, there are issues with deliveries such as a driver missing the delivery window, or a carrier missing the date of delivery. If the customer experiences any problems with deliveries, please contact ModuTile Customer Service. If there is a conflict with the LTL carrier or FedEx, ModuTile can assist. However, ModuTile does not reimburse for any time, travel, car rentals, or expenses incurred for customers to retrieve their freight.
Free standard shipping takes approximately 6 to 14 business days, depending on the size of the order and destination within the Continental United States. Delivery may be delayed if the destination address is in a rural area, is a residential address, or if there are inclement weather conditions. However, if expedited shipping is requested and paid for, the Shipping Department will book the carrier that has the quickest transit time, which is usually anywhere from 3 to 6 business days depending on the distance from our warehouse. Keep in mind that the transit time specified for shipping does not include the processing time. Packages normally ship from our main warehouse in Houston, Texas. However, we do have other warehouses within the USA. If we encounter any delays while the order is being processed, you will receive an e-mail providing the expected shipping date. ModuTile retains the right to choose the shipping carrier with the most competitive rates.
The customer is advised to notify Customer Service to confirm inventory prior to purchasing. To ensure delivery by a certain deadline, it is the customer’s responsibility to order well in advance and long before the cutoff date. If you are requesting to receive an order before a holiday, please contact Customer Service in advance to ensure that there is enough time to process and ship your order.
NOTE: ModuTile is not held accountable for any lost, misplaced, stolen, or delayed shipments, nor for product damage caused by the carrier. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages confirmed to be delivered to the address provided for an order.
Additional Shipping Services
There are extra services that are not included with standard LTL shipping. These additional shipping services include inside delivery, guaranteed delivery, address change, limited access, apartment delivery, storage facility delivery, destination terminal storage, and re-delivery. The customer may request and pay for these additional services by contacting ModuTile Customer Service.
