Description
Create a gorgeous new look with our multi-use Wood Vinyl Top Interlocking Basement Floor Tiles. These basement tiles can be quickly installed over your existing floor as an easy DIY flooring project. The only preparation required is to clear the area and sweep the floor before installing. The basement floor tiles will instantly transform the room or area and provide a durable surface that adds fashion and style to a home or business. They are resistant to staining or fading. Cleaning them is as simple as sweeping and wiping with a damp mop or cloth.
These interlocking floor tiles are ideal for use in a basement or laundry room because they are designed with a strong polymer (plastic) base with grooves underneath to create a cushion of air beneath the top surface. As a result, moisture is allowed to evaporate as opposed to harboring mold or mildew. Because the loop-to-peg interlocking basement tiles are so easy to install and remove, there are many other heavyweights uses for them such as trade show flooring, merchandise showroom display, or temporary office flooring.

Easy to Assemble DIY Interlocking Flooring
Every Wood Vinyl Top interlocking basement tile measure 12 x 12 – inch (1 square foot), which means that the entire square footage of the basement will be equivalent to the number of tiles needed to cover the area. The tiles are 1/2-inch thick. If you will need to cut the flooring to install it around any permanent structures such as columns, stairways, or walls, you will need to add about 6% to the square footage for the total number of tiles needed. These additional tiles will cover the waste that occurs during cutting. To accommodate the flooring for a custom size or shape, the interlocking vinyl tiles can be easily cut with a jigsaw (fine tooth blade). You will need to leave at least ½-inch of space between the tiles and walls or permanent structures because the tiles expand and contract with temperature fluctuations.
Prior to installing, consider sweeping the base floor to remove dirt and debris. These lightweight vinyl top basement tiles snap together with a four loop-to-peg interlocking system. You can install them yourself with a single downward push; professional assistance and tools are not needed. When the interlocking basement floor tiles are connected, they create a floating floor, which does not need to be glued or screwed down. You will notice small spaces between each tile to allow room for the tiles to expand and contract when the temperature varies. The space between the tiles also lets the air escape from beneath.
In addition to the easy installation, the flooring can also be taken apart easily in the event of flooding, leaking or relocation.
Durable Vinyl Top & Polymer Base
Even though the Wood Vinyl Top tile is designed to be attractive, it is also durable and long-lasting. Both the vinyl surface and polymer base contribute to its durability. This tile is colorfast and resistant to fading and staining due to UV protection. The Wood Vinyl Top interlocking basement tiles can handle average foot traffic and support heavy weights from storage chests, pool tables, entertainment centers, and other furniture typically found in a residential basement. However, we suggest that pinpoint objects be placed over a mat or furniture sliders to distribute the weight. Furniture should not be dragged (slide) on this type of floor. It should be picked up and placed to the desired location. These basement tiles can be easily cleaned with Swiffer products, or water and mild soap. With this in mind, we suggest that you do so regularly in order to maintain the life of the floor.
Wet Basement Tile Grid Design
Underneath the Wood Vinyl Top interlocking basement tiles lies a grid structure. This layout was specially designed to resist mold and mildew growth by allowing air circulation for the escape of moisture and humidity. Not only does this grid foundation offer ventilation, but the structure itself is made of high-impact polypropylene. This kind of plastic is known to be antimicrobial and repels microorganisms from developing on its material. Despite its mold-resisting properties, this basement tile is best used in climate-controlled basements. When installed on concrete that is sloped toward a drain, any water will flow down beneath the tiles. Additionally, be advised that a low, hollow sound may be observed when walking on the tiles. This is caused by sound echoing through the grid structure.
Interlocking Basement Tile Other Uses
The Wood Vinyl Top interlocking tile is available in redwood, neutral beige or cool gray. They provide a pleasing earth tone appearance for your floor. With its unique look, it may be used in trade shows, commercial displays, home offices, and much more.

I placed my order just a couple days ago. I was thinking it would be next week before it would be processed and delivered. I didn’t think that I would know exactly when I would receive my flooring. But, and this is one big but, I have been receiving emails with updates as to what’s going on with my order. Love it. And the email I received told me exactly when I will get my order, and it will be this week. How do you know how to make a grown man, one of which doesn’t get excited, feel giddy inside. You guys know how to put a smile on people’s face. If the product is as good as the service has been, I will have to say you guys have out done yourselves. Or do you kick butt everyday?
Well, I want to just say Thank You and don’t stop doing what you’re doing.

Solution for my basement Review by Henry M._New Jersey –
This item worked very well for our old basement floor. Installation was easier than i thought.
BEAUTIFUL-AFFORDABLE-TIME SAVER –
My wife and I just completed installing 350 sq. ft. for her. Modutile is a great functional product for placement in a basement on concrete. NO CONCRETE PREPARING: NO ADHESIVES: NO GROUT. TIME SAVING & COST EFFECTIVE – at $4 per sq. ft. I could not find a competitor. The installation took under 2 hours AND LISTEN TO THIS – YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT TO USE THE SPACE. My spouse had it running in less than 3 hours. Very hard to beat.
Our Basement Looks Great by J.McMillan –
After going online and researching different types of flooring to cover concrete, we came across Modutile. We love it!!. It made our basement look like a totally different place. If you are considering a make over for your basement, this is it. We were very pleased with the ease of installation and the finished product.

HACK – A- MO GREAT FUNCTIONAL PRODUCT – HOME RUN – JAHMAKER –
After months of research I purchased and install these tile in my basement. Functionality was the deciding factor. The product is a polymer so it will not be damaged by moisture. Second factor it has no food for mold or mildew to live on. Third factor the installation is a breeze, just sweep the concrete and you are in business. NO CONCRETE TREATMENT : NO ADHESIVE; NO BACKING: NO LEVELING :NO JOINTS TO GROUT – AMEN. I installed the first course per the directions and gave the mallet to my wife . She wack-a-moed them in, while I opened the boxes and put the tiles in place for her. We installed 350 sq ft in less than two hours -TIME SAVER. We encountered a couple low spots. In those areas we raised the secured tiles a little so the new tile was set in place correctly and that was it. Yes the tiles looked artificial for the careful eyes but they do not look cheap. I will be getting 700 sq. ft to put in my workshop.
The Best Flooring For Concrete Basement – Jahmaker –
After 6 months of research I settled for this product. NO CONCRETE PREPARING; NO ADHESIVE; NO WAITING; NO FOOD FOR LIVING ORGANISMS; NO MOISTURE DAMAGE. AMEN! So, I ordered the tiles and my wife and I decided to spend Saturday installing the floor. WRONG! my wife alone installed the 350 tiles in less than 2 hours. I helped her to put the gym mats and the elliptical exercise machine back in place and we were done. I have ordered another 590 tiles to do my workshop. It is functionality and ease of installation at its best. The customer service staff were so factual about the product – I am going to draft these guys to work on WALL STREET.

Love Modutile dance floor – Richard –
I wanted to tell you, even though I am not completely recovered yet, but, getting there, my husband snapped the floor together today.
We love it.! It is truly high quality, durable, easy to stand or dance on, and looks nice even to leave down without taking it up, as it goes with my black contemporary furniture. We love it so much.Thank you for being so prompt and a quick, such a rare caring seller. You really deserve to be a top seller like you are!
We had a friend here today who said he loved the floor and wanted to know where he could get one just like it. I gave him your information. This really is exactly what I was looking for, so convenient for anyone to pick out a floor, snap it together, for a dance floor, company, or leave it down for good, or take it up, if you move. I wish I had known about these tiles years ago. They are simply the best!
Thanks again.

Great Product Review by Sharon –
We remodeled a small basement guest bedroom and this floor was perfect. We finished installing the tiles within 2 hrs. The room looks GREAT.
Perfect Fit! Andrzej –
We ordered this floor to transform one part of our basement into a home
theater. The tiles were very easy to cut and install and we are
extremely pleased with their quality and look. This basement tends to
be a bit wet, especially during spring snow melting, so Modutiles are a
perfect fit. We would recommend this product without any reservations.
Enclosed is a picture of “before” and “after”, although the “after” is
not completely finished.
Thanks,

Interlocking Laminate Tiles – Red Wood –
With a couple of minor floods in our basement and wood parquet floors in our office, it was time to replace! Researching online, I found Modutile and sent the link to my contractor/handyman for his opinion. I also sent for some samples to help decide whether to buy the wood look or tile. We decided Modutile in the wood finish would be a good option, settled on dates to get it done (while my husband was out of town) and ordered the product. We estimate we saved about $1500.00 using Modutile versus tile from Lowes or Home Depot.
Here’s where we hit a snag. For some reason they use a company which doesn’t deliver on Tuesdays to residential properties. Really? I’d love to hear FedEx or UPS’s response to that one! After several phone calls back and forth with Modutile we did finally get the product for the day we needed it but it was not made easy.
However, the tile delivered was the tile ordered and my contractor liked working with it (cuts easily). The tiles clip together as advertised and the joints are tight. He was all done in a day and a half.
So I would recommend the product (which I did to our neighbor’s daughter) but be wary about delivery. Order well in advance of when you need it.
Great Value – Joe O_Lynbrook, NY, 11563 –
My family and I are very impressed with this product. The ease of installation was a huge cost savings in our basement renovation. Not only do we enjoy the new floor. We get a lot of compliments from other people.
Our basement is transformed! Scott S. – Norwood, Massachusetts, 02062 –
We are thrilled with this product – our basement room finally feels like a real room.
Finding the right floor for a raised ranch basement is important- trust me, I learned the hard way. The vinyl flooring we had didn’t allow the concrete floor to breathe, so moisture and mold developed. We painted the concrete, but it never looked right for our TV/family room.
Your interlocking floor tiles was the perfect solution, they’re a snap to install and they look great. The floor can breath, so no more moisture or mold!
If you’re thinking about finishing or just improving the look of your basement- I would highly recommend Modutile for your floor. Great customer service and best of all, the tiles are shipped to your door!
